David Chaffee, MSN, FNP-C
David Chaffee is a dedicated family nurse practitioner committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based cardiovascular care. Since joining San Diego County Cardiology in 2024, David has become known for his patient-centered approach, exceptional bedside manner, and commitment to providing comprehensive, individualized care. His patients consistently appreciate the time he takes to listen, explain complex medical conditions in an understandable way, and develop treatment plans tailored to each person's unique needs.
With nearly seven years of prior experience in family medicine before transitioning to cardiology, David brings a broad clinical foundation that allows him to evaluate each patient comprehensively while recognizing the important connection between cardiovascular health and overall wellness. He is highly detail-oriented, thorough in his evaluations, and dedicated to preventive cardiology, helping patients improve their long-term heart health and quality of life.
David works closely with the physicians at San Diego County Cardiology to provide timely, evidence-based care. His excellent communication skills, clinical knowledge, and genuine compassion have earned the trust of both his patients and colleagues. He believes that the best outcomes are achieved through strong patient-provider relationships built on honesty, education, and shared decision-making.
David earned his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Azusa Pacific University in 2017 after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University in 2008.
Outside of medicine, David enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and exploring the wonders of astronomy and the expansive universe.
